Why is my phone screen bulging out?

A phone screen may bulge out due to a swollen battery, which can be caused by a number of factors, including:

  • Battery aging

Over time, the chemical components of the battery naturally age and deteriorate.

  • Improper charging

Keeping the battery at low levels for a long time or leaving it plugged in after it's fully charged can cause the battery's internal pressure to become unstable.

  • Physical damage

Dropping the phone or other improper use can damage the battery's internal structure.

  • Environmental factors

Exposing the phone to high temperatures or humidity can speed up the deterioration of the battery's chemical components.

A swollen battery can push against the phone's casing and screen, potentially causing permanent damage to the screen. In some cases, the battery can bulge to the point of explosion or catching fire.

If you suspect your phone has a swollen battery, you should:

  1. Unplug and turn off the phone immediately.

  2. Stop using the phone.

  3. Take the phone to Narabyte Service Provider for replacement.

  4. Dispose of the swollen battery appropriately, according to local regulations.
